One of the things I'm thinking about volunteering for. Since you can't go a day without hearing about haiti, and this project has an event for haiti coming out in a week-ish

Sunday Funday in Huntington Beach
Check out this link about "sunday funday", it is this weekend and it looks fun to me... Wish I wasn't working sunday night so I could get a little buzz on and make this even better.
When: Sun Jan 24, morning-afternoon
Where: Main Street in huntington
What: You and a partner are dressed in funny outfits (not required) and participate in a 5k/other activities in this walk/run event... people will be drinking and having a good time for a good cause:
Cost: $28-33
"The Sunday Funday Adventure benefits the Magic Shoe Foundation which is a Newport Beach, CA non-profit organization that exists to provide shoes for various underprivileged high schools, elementary schools, Boys & Girls Clubs and other local organizations."

9:30 am - Aloha Grill Opens for Breakfast

11:45 am - Mandatory meeting

12:00 noon - 2 pm - Post Race Party at Aloha Grill
2:00 pm - Awards at Aloha Grill
